Fantastic Air Heating And Cooling Air heating and its benefits
Air heating and its benefits
Today, air heating systems are increasingly being used in North and South America instead of the classic water heating systems. These systems became particularly widespread and widespread at the end of the eighties, when the equipment used in these systems reached a value of 80% and higher in terms of heat utilisation during fuel combustion.
Unified air heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems are recommended for use in buildings and structures for various purposes: country houses, cottages, children’s institutions, schools, hospitals, administrative and industrial premises.
- Air heating cooker
- Fresh air supply
- Air intake
- Mixture of fresh and recirculated air
- Filter
- Warm air supply with zone control
- Thermostat
- Evaporator
- Compressor and condenser unit
Advantages compared to water heating:
Comfort. Air heating creates comfort conditions that are unachievable with other systems. Temperature, humidity, and purity of the air are maintained with high precision through the use of modern equipment and automation.
Aesthetics. Absence of radiators and pipes. Only with this system it is possible to lower the windows to the floor around the perimeter of the room. Ducts concealed in the walls and ceilings supply both warm and cold air. Small grilles are often an elegant addition to the interior.
Economical. Due to the absence of the intermediate heat transfer medium (water) and a lower wall temperature the thermal efficiency of the whole heating system is high: 20-30% higher than in traditional water systems.
The use of programmable thermostats makes it possible to save from 5 to 25% of the heat energy through the "standby" function - an automatic reduction in room temperature in the absence of people.
The efficiency of the system is 70% to 80% (when using water heating not more than 60%). Do not confuse the efficiency of the system and the efficiency of the heater itself. The efficiency of condensing boilers can be up to 90% and higher, but in general, the efficiency of the water system with radiators is no more than 60%.
Longevity. Estimated service life is more than 20 years.
Less material intensity.
Possibility of putting into operation at any time of year, even at minus temperatures.
Possibility to organize air-conditioning by the same ducts.
Supply air can be made through the same ducts, while outside air is heated (cooled) and cleaned in an air filter.
Possibility of effective humidification of the entire room in winter. Hygiene regulations require a humidity of 30-60%. Humidity above 60% increases the risk of respiratory diseases, fungi on the walls, etc., while humidity below 30% leads to desiccation of furniture and dryness of the mucous membranes in the mouth and eyes.
Cleaning of recirculation air with conventional or electronic filter.
Ability to absorb odours when charcoal filters are installed.
Possibility of bacteriological purification if an ultraviolet ioniser is installed.
Low inertia. Units of air heating systems reach operation mode in a few minutes, and due to high air turnover, the room is fully heated in just a few hours. This makes it possible to manoeuvre quickly and flexibly when the heat requirement changes.
The absence of an intermediate heat transfer medium means that the construction and maintenance of a water heating system and a boiler house is unnecessary. During the winter, there is no risk of the heating system thawing out in the event of a prolonged shutdown. Cooling down even to sub-zero temperatures does not damage the system.
No leaks are guaranteed. No radiators or convectors.
Due to its high degree of automation, the heating capacity is always exactly as it is needed.
Shorter installation times.
Low maintenance costs.
The warm air it creates generates generates the necessary warmth and evenness to the entire space and the necessary back-up that prevents draughts and dust from entering the room.
The desired temperature range is between 5 oC and 35 oC.
The cost of the system depends on the level of comfort required and the volume of the room.
